A vibe of coffee
My Coffee Has Arrived,
Well-Brewed Vibe Created
9:46 a.m. on a Saturday and I’m scouring my usual sources of news, emails and over analyzing the results of last night’s Fantasy Baseball match up. No Pepper Allowed (me) is tied 10-10 with High & Tight. But we’re in a fierce battle for ownership of 14th place out of 16 teams and that’s a meaningful-enough use of my Saturday morning minutes.
After all, they are my minutes and it is the weekend.
Suddenly, behind me, I hear the unique noise and catch from my rear peripheral vision the blur of what can only be a Fed-Ex truck pulling up to my drive. Just an hour or so ago before leaving for her shopping, my wife had said the coffee she ordered for me on Thursday would be here soon.
I didn’t think it would arrive THIS soon! A pleasant surprise, indeed.
We brew by the cup using a Keurig device that has turned out to be one of my favorite gadgets of all time. Pop in a canister of your favorite blend, push the button and, voilà, you have one measured great cup of coffee without the mess and waste.
So now the dilemma, which is not quite a conundrum: How many cups have I had already from the manual blend of Maxwell House and Latin American beans I got as a gift have I had this morning? I can’t remember!
Do I dare have another from my newly-arrived stock?
Me thinks so. And was there ever really a doubt?
And that’s it. That’s the Vibe……I think I will be writing more this weekend.
I can feel it brewing.
